In 2019 architects Moritz Henkel and Natascha Matzat founded studio2020.
Considering the practice's vacuous name, we situated their visual identity between a functional present and a rich past. In addition to a solid fundament applying Colophon's Basis Grotesque, 20 periods of architectural history chosen and depicted by studio2020 are mirrored with 20 typefaces we found suitable as their match, either trough historical background or mere appearance.
The pairings will be presented as a duo-poster in 2020.
